Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 1776972 Size: SH
  2. Remove the trailing arm bracket to body bolts.
  3. Remove the trailing arm bushing to bracket nut and bolt.

    4. Object Number: 1768948 Size: SH
  4. Remove the park brake cable clip and the bolt from the trailing arm.

    5. Object Number: 1768911 Size: SH
  5. Remove the trailing arm to knuckle bolts.
  6. Remove the trailing arm.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1768911 Size: SH
  1. Install the trailing arm to the knuckle.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).

  2. Position the trailing arm bracket to the trailing arm.
  3. Loosely install the trailing arm bushing to bracket nut and bolt.

    4. Object Number: 1776972 Size: SH
  4. Push upward on the trailing arm and loosely install the front bolt.
  5. Use a drift in order to aid in bracket alignment.
  6. Install the bracket to body bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bracket to body bolts to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).

  7. Tighten the trailing arm bushing to bracket nut and bolt.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 160 N·m (118 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1768948 Size: SH
  8. Install the park brake cable clip and the bolt.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Lower the vehicle.
