Tools Required

J 26610 (KM-J-22610) Installer

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the power steering gear assembly. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement .
3. Remove the outer tie rod. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .



4. Remove the dust boot outer retaining clamps.
5. Cut and remove the dust boot inner retaining clamps.
6. Remove the dust boot.

1. Install the dust boot.
2. Install the dust boot outer retaining clamp.
3. Install the dust boot inner retaining clamp with the J 26610 (KM-J-22610).
4. Install the outer tie rod. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .
5. Install the power steering gear assembly. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement .
6. Lower the vehicle.
