Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraints (SIR). Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front seat assembly. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1761030 Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws (2) and the trim cover (1).

    4. Object Number: 1793633 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).
  5. Remove the bolt (3) and the seat belt buckle pretensioner (2).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1793633 Size: SH
  1. Install the seat belt buckle pretensioner (2) and secure with bolt (3).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt retractor bolt to 38 N·m (28 lb ft).

  2. Connect the electrical connectors (1).

    3. Object Number: 1761030 Size: SH
  3. Install the trim cover (1) and secure with the screws (2).
  4. Install the front seat assembly. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement.
  5. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
