The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some technicians may encounter an error message when reprogramming a TCCM on a new truck that states "Calibration Data Not Found". This is a result of the VIN not being in TIS yet because the vehicle was just produced.
If this concern is encountered, please contact Techline at 800-828-6860 to obtain instructions for reprogramming.
Also, be sure that the battery is fully charged and accessories off during the reprogramming event. Technicians may use the Midtronics 165-PSC charger, or a 12-volt jumper pack to maintain battery charge during programming (reference June 2006 Techlink article).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
