Special Tools

1. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement.



2. Remove the intake manifold.



3. Remove the exhaust manifold.



4. Remove the vacuum pump.



5. Remove the camshaft sprocket.



6. Mark the camshaft cap positions to ensure they are installed in the same position for assembly.
7. Remove the camshaft cap bolts and caps.



8. Remove the camshaft and camshaft seal.



9. Remove the intake/exhaust roller finger followers.
10. Remove the intake/exhaust valve bridge.
11. Remove the intake/exhaust valve lash adjuster.



12. Install the EN 47518 with the EN-48247 to the cylinder head.
13. Turn the handle of the EN 47518 for compressing the valve spring.
14. Remove the valve key.
15. Remove the valve spring retainer.
16. remove the valve spring.
17. Remove the valves.



18. Remove the valve stem oil seal.
19. Inspect and clean the cylinder head and components. Refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection.
