Makes 🢒 GMC_Truck 🢒 2009 🢒 Terrain 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.0L (Diesel) 🢒 Piston, Connecting Rod, and Bearing Cleaning and Inspection

    Object Number: 1758715 Size: SH
  1. Measure the piston ring gap using a feeler gauge. Refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications.
  2. If the piston ring gap is out of specification, replace the piston ring.

    3. Object Number: 1758720 Size: SH
  3. Measure the piston ring groove clearance using a feeler gage. Refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications.
  4. If the piston ring groove clearance is out of specification, replace the piston and rings.

    5. Object Number: 1289362 Size: SH
  5. Inspect the bearing bore for concentricity and alignment using cylinder bore gage. Refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications. If the bearing bore is beyond specifications, replace the engine block Engine Specifications.
  6. Inspect the engine block cylinder bore for wear, runout, ridging and taper using a bore gage. Refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications.

    7. Object Number: 1822664 Size: SH
  7. Install the connecting rod to the crankshaft.
  8. Inspect the connecting rod end play. Refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications.
