6.6L LLY Engine C107 C108 C118 C119 Engine Harness Wire Color Discrepancies - kw 04-06-04-001driveability electrical GMT800 intermittent

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Wire colors shown in the Inline Connector End Views of SI document number 1243943 and number 818381 may not match what is on the vehicle. The technician may also notice that the wire color may be different on each side of the connector for the same circuit.

Corrections to SI are in process at this time. Until then, do not assume that C107/C108 or C118/C119 connectors are wired incorrectly based on wire color. NOTE: A new Service Bulletin, 04-06-04-001, has been released to advise of backed out pins in C107/C108 for C/K trucks and C118/C119 for C4500/5500 trucks. This bulletin is not related to the wire color errors, but it may draw a technicians attention to the connector and create additional confusion.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
