Air Brake Reservoir Support Replacement - Rear Axle GZK

Removal Procedure
  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Block the wheels.
  3. Remove the reservoir. Refer to the appropriate procedures:
    4. •  Reservoir Replacement - Front Axle
    •  Primary Air Brake Supply Reservoir Replacement
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Front Unit
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Rear Unit
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Truck Service
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Tractor Service

  4. Remove the reservoir support bolts and the washers.
  5. Remove the reservoir supports.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the reservoir supports.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear axle service reservoir support bolts (tractor) to 67 N·m (49 lb ft).

  2. Install the reservoirs.
  3. Remove the wheel blocks.

Removal Procedure
  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Block the wheels.
  3. Remove the reservoir. Refer to the appropriate procedures:

    •  Primary Air Brake Supply Reservoir Replacement
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Front Unit
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Rear Unit
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Truck Service
    •  Reservoir Replacement - Rear Axle Tractor Service

  4. Remove the reservoir support bolts and the washers.
  5. Remove the reservoir supports.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the reservoir supports.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear axle service reservoir support bolts (tractor) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  2. Install the reservoirs.
  3. Remove the wheel blocks.

Air Brake Reservoir Support Replacement - Rear Axle Non-GZT, RQ2 or GZK

Removal Procedure
  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Block the wheels.
  3. Remove the reservoir. Refer to the appropriate procedures:

  4. Remove the reservoir support bolts and the washers.
  5. Remove the reservoir supports.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear axle service reservoir support bolts (tractor) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  2. Install the reservoirs.
