Launch Shudder (Replace Two-Piece Driveshaft with One-Piece Driveshaft)

Condition
Some customers with the GL8 axle and 128" wheelbase vehicles may comment that they feel a launch shudder when the vehicle is launched from a stop position.
Cause
The short two-piece driveshaft system may increase the likelihood of feeling a launch shudder.
Correction
Remove the two-piece driveshaft system and the flat "L" shaped metal center support hanger. Install the one-piece driveshaft, P/N 15018760. The engine controller must be programmed with the KYW calibration (Vehicle Speed Limiting at 120 km/h (75 mph). If the vehicle has KYW or other RPO options that limit the vehicle speed to 120 km/h (75 mph) or less, just replace the two-piece driveshaft. If the vehicle has no vehicle speed limiting, contact Techline to get the KYW calibration and install it in the vehicle.
