Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner layer. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 664853  Size: SH
  3. Remove the turbo charged air outlet duct over the left valve cover.

  4. Object Number: 786977  Size: SH
  5. Remove the fuel temperature sensor harness connector (1).
  6. Remove the fuel temperature sensor from the fuel rail.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 786977  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the fuel temperature sensor.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel temperature sensor to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  3. Install the electrical connector to the sensor (1).

  4. Object Number: 664853  Size: SH
  5. Install the air turbo outlet duct.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the duct clamps to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  7. Install the air cleaner layer. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
