Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner layer. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
  2. Remove glow plug relay assembly. Refer to Glow Plug Relay Replacement .
  3. Remove PCV valve hose.

  4. Object Number: 741011  Size: SH
  5. Remove the 3 bolts connecting the air intake pipe to the turbocharger.
  6. Remove the air intake pipe (1) from the turbocharger (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 741011  Size: SH
  1. Clean the mating surfaces on the air intake pipe (1) and the turbocharger (3).
  2. Install the air intake pipe on the turbocharger.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 3 air intake pipe mounting bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the air intake pipe bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install PCV valve hose.
  7. Install glow plug relay assembly. Refer to Glow Plug Relay Replacement .
  8. Install air intake layer. Refer to Air Cleaner Replacement .
