Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve Replacement Left
Removal Procedure
- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to
Air Cleaner Replacement
in Engine Controls - 6.6L (LLY).
Important: After removing the charged air cooler duct,
cover the turbocharger opening with tape in order to prevent entry of objects.
- Loosen the charged air cooler inlet duct connector (2) to turbocharger
clamp (4).
Important: Do not use a screwdriver or other tool to
pry the hose loose. The hose can be torn or damaged. Loosen the hose by twisting.
- Remove the charged air cooler inlet duct connector (4) from the turbocharger.
- Remove the positive crankcase ventilation
(PCV) cover screws.
- Remove the PCV cover, diaphragm, and spring.
- Clean and inspect the cover, diaphragm and spring.
- Discard the diaphragm if damage is found.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the spring, diaphragm and cover.
- Install the PCV cover screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Remove the tape from the turbocharger openings.
Important: Lubricate the end of the duct prior to installation.
- Install the charged air cooler inlet duct connector (4) to the
turbocharger.
- Tighten the charged air cooler inlet duct connector to turbocharger clamp (1).
Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the air cleaner. Refer to
Air Cleaner Replacement
in Engine Controls - 6.6L (LLY).

Removal Procedure
- Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) cover screws (1).
- Remove the PCV cover (2), diaphragm (3), and spring (4).
- Clean and inspect the cover, diaphragm and spring.
- Discard the diaphragm if damage is found.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the spring (4), diaphragm (3) and cover (2).
- Install the PCV cover screws (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
