Removal Procedure

    Important: Clean the dirt, the grease and the foreign particles from the hose fittings at both ends before removing the master cylinder hose.

  1. Remove the bolts and the washers.


    Object Number: 208907  Size: SH
  2. Remove the hose fittings from the caliper.
  3. Remove the nut and washer.
  4. Remove the brake pipe from the brake hose at the junction block.

  5. Object Number: 208901  Size: SH
  6. Remove the brake hose.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 208901  Size: SH
  1. Install the washer and the nut.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the front brake hose nut to 37 N·m (27 lb ft).

  3. Install the steel pipes to the junction block.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fittings to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).


    Object Number: 208907  Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the hose is not twisted.

  5. Install the hose fitting to the caliper.
  6. Install the washers and the bolts.
  7. Tighten

        • Tighten the fitting to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).
        • Tighten the mounting bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).
  8. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
