Park Brake Hardware Replacement 9 x 3

Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution in the Preface section.

1. Remove the park brake drum (1). Refer to Propeller Shaft Parking Brake Drum Replacement .
2. Remove the park brake shoes (3. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement .
3. Remove the park brake hardware.
4. Remove the park brake upper return springs (4).
5. Remove the park brake lower return spring (6).

Important: Apply high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the park brake shoe and backing plate contact points and park brake shoe actuator contact and pivot points.

1. Install the park brake shoes (3), the lower park brake shoe return spring (6), and the park brake shoe upper return springs (4). Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement .
2. Install the park brake drum (1). Refer to Propeller Shaft Parking Brake Drum Replacement .

Park Brake Hardware Replacement 12 x 3

Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution in the Preface section.

1. Remove the park brake drum (12). Refer to Propeller Shaft Parking Brake Drum Replacement .
2. Remove the park brake shoes (1). Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement .
3. Remove the park brake hardware (2).

Important: Apply high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the park brake shoe and backing plate contact points and park brake shoe actuator contact and pivot points.

1. Replace the park brake hardware (2) as necessary.
2. Install the park brake shoes (1). Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement .
3. Install the park brake drum (12). Refer to Propeller Shaft Parking Brake Drum Replacement .
