Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front axle shaft from the axle housing. Refer to Front Axle Shaft Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1360583 Size: SH
  2. Remove the upper and lower ball joint nuts.

    3. Object Number: 1360586 Size: SH
  3. Remove the steering knuckle from the axle housing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1360586 Size: SH
  1. Install the steering knuckle to the axle housing.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1360583 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper and lower ball joint nuts.

    3. Tighten

    1. Tighten the lower ball joint nut to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the upper ball joint nut to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).
    3. Retighten the lower ball joint nut to 203 N·m (150 lb ft).
  3. Install the front axle shaft into the axle housing. Refer to Front Axle Shaft Replacement .
