Grille Replacement V22

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the nuts/washers from the inside back of the hood.
3. Remove the grille from the studs on the back of the hood.



4. Remove the emblem nuts from the back of the grille, if required.
5. Remove the emblem from the grille.

1. Install the emblem to the grille.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the nuts to the emblem.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).




3. Install the grille to the studs at the back of the hood.
4. Install the nuts/washers assemblies to the studs.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

5. Close the hood.

Grille Replacement GRW

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the bolts retaining the following components to the radiator support:

•	The grille

•	The brackets

3. Remove following components from the radiator support:

•	The grille

•	The brackets

4. Remove the bolts retaining the grille to the brackets.



5. Remove the emblem nut from the back of the grille.
6. Remove the emblem from the grille, if required.

1. Position the emblem to the grille.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. 2. Install the nuts to the grille.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).




3. Install the grille to the brackets.
4. Install the grille to bracket bolts into the bracket pierce nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

5. Install the grille and bracket assembly to the radiator support.
6. Install the bolts through the brackets and into the support weld nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the grille bracket to support bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

7. Close the hood.
