Removal Procedure

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  1. Remove the rearview mirror glass. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement - Upper .

  2. Object Number: 803798  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws that hold the motor to the housing.

  4. Object Number: 816476  Size: SH
  5. Remove the motor.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electrical connector to the motor.
  2. Install the motor.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screws to the rearview mirror housing.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  6. Install the mirror to the motor.
