The electronic brake control module (EBCM) monitors the function of the fluid flow switch to assure that the switch opens and closes properly.
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC C0286 Fluid Flow Switch Circuit High
The engine is running.
The EBCM detects an open fluid flow switch for 4.4 seconds.
• | The service brake soon indicator turns ON. |
• | A fast rate audible chime turns ON. |
The conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present and you use the scan tool Clear DTCs function.
• | This DTC may be caused by a fluid flow switch that sticks open intermittently. |
• | The ground circuit 151 of the park brake booster fluid flow switch should be checked for an intermittent or an open. |
• | Thoroughly inspect connections or circuitry that may cause an intermittent malfunction. Refer to the following: |
