Removal Procedure
- Remove the console mounting bolts.
- Remove the console.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the parking brake electrical connectors.
- Remove the clevis pin from the park brake lever assembly.
- Remove the cable from the parking brake lever assembly.
- Remove the parking brake lever mounting nuts.
- Remove the parking brake lever assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the park brake lever assembly.
- Install the cable to the park brake lever.
- Install the clevis pin from the park brake lever assembly.
- Connect the parking brake lever assembly electrical connectors.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the console.
- Install the console mounting nuts.
- Adjust the parking brake.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Torque to 22 N·m (15 lb ft).
