Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 816267 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove engine cover to gain access to rear mounts. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  3. Support the transmission with safety stands.
  4. Remove the transmission mount bracket to transmission mount bolt/nuts.
  5. Lift the transmission to take the weight off the vehicle.

  6. To remove right hand transmission mount bracket remove the transmission mount bracket to transmission bolts.
  7. Remove the transmission mount bracket.

    8. Object Number: 816279 Size: SH
  8. To remove left hand transmission mount brackets remove the transmission mount bracket to transmission bolts.
  9. Remove the transmission mount brackets.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 816279 Size: SH
  1. Install the left transmission mount bracket.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the transmission mount bracket bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission mount bracket nuts to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

  3. Install the right transmission mount bracket.
  4. Install the transmission mount bracket bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission mount bracket nuts to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

  5. Lower the transmission mount brackets onto the transmission mounts.

    6. Object Number: 816267 Size: SH
  6. Install the transmission mount bracket to transmission mount bolts/nuts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission mount to transmission mount bracket bolt/nuts to 195 N·m (144 lb ft).

  7. Remove the safety stands from the transmission.
  8. Install engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
