Some customers may comment that the driver or passenger outside rearview mirror shakes/vibrates while driving.
Vibration over time and a lack of sealant on the mirror pivot/shaft fasteners may cause the fasteners to loosen or fall out into the mirror housing.

Apply sealant and retighten Mirror pivot and shaft fasteners. | Do NOT replace the complete outside rearview mirror assembly. |
Apply sealant to the mirror pivot and shaft fasteners and retighten using the following procedure. You do not need to remove the mirror from the vehicle to do this procedure.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).
TIghten
Tighten the screws to 1.3-2.0 N·m (12-18 lb in).
