Makes 🢒 GMC_Truck 🢒 2007 🢒 TopKick C-Series (Conventional) C4/C5 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 6.6L (LBZ and LLY) 🢒 Transmission Fluid Filler Tube and Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the transmission fluid level indicator.
  2. If required, remove the transmission shift cable from the tube straps.

    3. Object Number: 829006 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts, and the filler from the transmission.
  4. If servicing the indicator tubes from the left side, remove the bolts, the nuts and the straps.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 658984 Size: SH
  1. Install the new indicator tube seal to the transmission.
  2. Install the filler tube to the transmission.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 829006 Size: SH
  3. Install the indicator tube bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the indicator tube bracket bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the transmission fluid level indicator.
  5. Install the transmission shift cable to the filler tube straps as required.
  6. Inspect and fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON III fluid or Allison TransSynd™ Full Synthetic Fluid. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications .
