Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1986973 Size: SH
  1. Drain the Coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  2. Remove the exhaust heat sensor connector band clip connector (21).
  3. Remove the engine harness clip (13).

    4. Object Number: 1986984 Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine harness bracket from the GPCM bracket.

    5. Object Number: 1986973 Size: SH
  5. Remove the EGR coolant water hose (10).
  6. Remove the EGR cooler water feed pipe clips (11,16) and fasteners.
  7. Remove the feed pipe bolt (18).
  8. Remove the EGR cooler water feed pipe (17).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1986973 Size: SH
  1. Install the EGR cooler water feed pipe (17).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt (18) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  2. Install the EGR cooler water feed pipe clips (11,16) and fasteners.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the EGR coolant water hose (10).

  4. Install the engine harness bracket from the GPCM bracket.

    5. Object Number: 1986973 Size: SH
  5. Install the engine harness clip (13).
  6. Install the exhaust heat sensor connector band clip (21).
  7. Fill the coolant system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  8. Check for coolant leaks.
