Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 826042 Size: SH
  1. Remove the oil fill tube clamp, if necessary.
  2. Remove the oil fill tube from the oil fill tube hose.

    3. Object Number: 826041 Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil fill tube bracket bolt.
  4. Remove the oil fill hose from the engine oil fill tube.
  5. Remove the oil fill tube hose clamp at the oil fill tube.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 826041 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil fill tube hose clamp.
  2. Install the oil fill tube bracket bolt.
  3. Apply sealant GM P/N 9985409 or equivalent around the oil fill tube 19.05 mm (0.75 in) from the bottom.
  4. Install the oil fill tube hose to the engine oil fill tube.

    5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the oil fill tube hose.
  6. Install the oil fill tube clamp, if necessary.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the oil fill tube bolt to 10 N·m (106 lb in).
