Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1865172 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the water-in-fuel sensor electrical connector (1) from the engine wiring harness electrical connector.

    2. Object Number: 1865175 Size: SH
  2. Remove the fuel filter assembly (1).

    3. Object Number: 1865187 Size: SH
  3. Remove the water-in-fuel sensor from the fuel filter. Discard the fuel filter.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1865187 Size: SH

    Important: The water-in-fuel sensor must only be hand tightened.

  1. Install the water-in-fuel sensor to a NEW fuel filter and tighten 1/2 turn after the seal contacts the filter.

    2. Object Number: 1865175 Size: SH
  2. Install the NEW fuel filter to the fuel filter adapter and tighten 1/4 turn after the seal contacts the filter adapter.

    3. Object Number: 1865172 Size: SH
  3. Connect the water-in-fuel sensor electrical connector (1) to the engine wiring harness electrical connector.
  4. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming
