Circuit | Short to Ground | Open/High Resistance | Short to Voltage | Signal Performance |
---|---|---|---|---|
Ignition 1 Signal | P0562 | P0562 | -- | -- |
Ground Circuit | P0562 |
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the system voltage to ensure that the voltage stays within the proper range. Damage to components, and incorrect data may occur when the voltage is out of range.
• | The vehicle speed is above 8 km/h (5 mph). |
• | The system voltage is between 9.5-18 volts. |
The ECM detects a system voltage below 10 volts for 5 seconds.
DTC P0562 is a C type DTC.
DTC P0562 is a C type DTC.

Engine running, observe the scan tool ECM Ignition 1 Signal parameter. The Ignition 1 Signal parameter should read 10.5 volts or greater.
⇒ | If the DTC is history refer to Charging System Test |
⇒ | If greater than the specified value, test the Ignition 1 circuits and ground circuits for an open/high resistance. |
