Battery Isolator Replacement C4/C5

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Remove the cable to isolator nut caps.
3. Remove the cable retaining nuts.



4. Remove the isolator retaining nuts.
5. Remove the isolator.

1. Install the battery isolator to the step.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the battery isolator nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the battery isolator nuts to 9 N·m (79 lb in).




3. Connect the cable to the isolator.

Tighten
Tighten the isolator cable nuts to 9 N·m (79 lb in).

4. Install the caps to the isolator cable.
5. Connect the negative battery cable . Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
