Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in the Preface section.

Notice: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice in the Preface section.

Important: Clean the dirt, the grease and the foreign particles from the hose fittings at both ends before removing the master cylinder hose.




1. Remove the bolts and the washers.
2. Remove the hose fittings from the caliper.
3. Remove the nut and washer.
4. Remove the brake pipe frame mounting bracket.



5. Remove the brake hose.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the washer and the nut.

Tighten
Tighten the front brake hose nut to 37 N·m (27 lb ft).

2. Install the brake pipe mounting bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).





Important: Ensure that the hose is not twisted.

3. Install the hose fitting to the caliper.
4. Install the washers and the bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

5. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
