Removal Procedure

  1. Block the wheels.
  2. Drain the air reservoirs. Refer to Air Brake Reservoir Draining.
  3. Tag or label the air lines for later installation.
  4. Remove the air lines from the valve. Refer to Hose and Line Replacement - Nylon Push-In Type Fitting.
  5. Remove the following components:
  6. • The nuts
    • The washers
    • The bolts

  7. Remove the park control valve, chassis mounted from the crossmember.
  8. Inspect the air lines for the following conditions:
  9. • Damage
    • Kinks
    • Wear
  10. Replace any damaged, kinked, or worn air lines.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 202326  Size: SH
  1. Install the park control valve, chassis mounted.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the following components:
  4. • The bolts
    • The washers
    • The park control valve, chassis mounted nuts.

    Tighten
    Tighten the park control valve, chassis mounted nuts to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the air lines to the park control valve, chassis mounted. Refer to Hose and Line Replacement - Nylon Push-In Type Fitting.
  6. Perform the air leakage test. Refer to Chassis Mounted Park Control Valve Operational Check.
  7. Perform the operational test. Refer to Chassis Mounted Park Control Valve Leakage Test.
  8. Remove the wheel blocks.
