J 7624 Spanner Wrench

1. Position the front wheels and the steering wheel straight ahead.
2. Place a container under the power steering gear in order to catch the fluid when removing the pressure relief valve.
3. Remove the pressure relief valve (2) and the O-ring (1) from the steering gear.
4. Remove the valve insert using the J 7624 .

1. Install the O-ring (1) and the pressure relief valve (2) into the steering gear.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the valve insert using the J 7624 .

Tighten
Tighten the valve insert to 30 N·m (23 lb ft).

3. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
