Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1550800 Size: SH
  4. Remove the spindle bolts (1).
  5. Remove the spindle (4) from the front axle housing.

    6. Object Number: 1550797 Size: SH
  6. Remove the front axle shaft from the front axle housing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1550797 Size: SH
  1. Install the front axle shaft into the front axle housing.

    2. Object Number: 1550800 Size: SH
  2. Install the spindle (4) to the front axle housing.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the spindle bolts (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the spindle bolts to 155 N·m (115 lb ft).

  4. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement .
  5. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  6. Lower the vehicle and remove the support.
