Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the bolts that retain the door link to the door jamb.
- Remove the nuts that retain the door check
link to the door.
- Remove the door check link from the door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door check link to the door.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the nuts in order to retain the door check link to the door.
Tighten
Tighten the retaining nuts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
- Install the bolts in order to retain
the door link to the door jamb.
Tighten
Tighten the retaining bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
- Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to

- Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
