Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

1. Place the instrument panel (I/P) lamps dimmer switch in the dome lamp ON position.
2. Open all of the doors.

Does the dome lamp illuminate?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the inoperative dome lamp bulb.
2. Connect a test lamp between the battery positive voltage circuit of the inoperative dome lamp bulb and the courtesy lamp low control circuit of the inoperative dome lamp bulb.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Test the battery positive voltage circuit of the dome lamp for the following:

Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the inoperative dome lamp bulb. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Repair an open or a high resistance in the courtesy lamp low control circuit of the dome lamp. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Replace the inoperative dome lamp bulb . Refer to Dome and Reading Lamp Bulb Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
