Removal Procedure

In order to repair or replace the National air suspension seat components, refer to the manufacturer's literature accompanying the vehicle at the time of purchase or call National Seat Company at 1-800-222-7328.

  1. Drain all air reservoirs. Refer to Air Brake Reservoir Draining .

  2. Object Number: 823473  Size: SH
  3. Remove the air line from the elbow or from the tee.

  4. Object Number: 823074  Size: SH
  5. Remove the air suspension seat nuts from the riser assembly.
  6. Remove the air suspension seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air suspension seat in the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the air suspension seat nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  5. Install the air line to the elbow or the tee.
  6. Start the engine and charge the air system to the air compressor governor valve cut-out point. Refer to Air Brake Reservoir Filling .
