Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 502203  Size: SH

    Important: Note the position and length of the bolts removed. This will assist with reassembly.

  4. Remove the bolts retaining the seat back hinges to the seat cushion frame.

  5. Object Number: 502122  Size: SH
  6. Remove the seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat cushion frame.

  2. Object Number: 502203  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts that retain the seat back hinges to the seat cushion frame in the locations noted during disassembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts that retain the seat back hinges to the bench seat cushion frame to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat cushion cover and pad.
  6. Install the rear bench seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement .
