Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1865982  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the fuel feed and return pipes (1, 2) from the engine pipes. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Disconnect the appropriate brake lines.
  4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  6. Remove the fuel feed and return pipe bracket nut (2) from the transmission mount.
  7. Remove the fuel feed and return pipe bracket (1) from the transmission mount stud.

  8. Object Number: 1865983  Size: SH
  9. Remove the fuel feed and return pipe clip bolt (3) from the transmission bracket.

  10. Object Number: 1865984  Size: SH
  11. Disconnect the fuel feed and return front pipes from the chassis pipes. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  12. Remove the front fuel and return pipe assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1865984  Size: SH
  1. Position and install the front fuel and return pipe assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the fuel feed and return front pipes to the chassis pipes. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1865983  Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel feed and return pipe clip bolt (3) to the transmission bracket.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the fuel feed and return pipe bracket (1) to the transmission mount stud.
  7. Install the fuel feed and return pipe bracket nut (2) to the transmission mount.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Lower the vehicle.

  11. Connect the fuel feed and return pipes (1, 2) to the engine pipes. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  12. Connect the appropriate brake lines.
  13. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  14. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
