After a diagnostic fault is repaired, the Bedix remote diagnostic unit (RDU) must be reset using a magnet. If the reset procedure is not successful please try using a more powerful magnet. Use the procedure described below in order to reset the RDU.
The RDU may or may not display another fault message after the reset procedure is completed. Each fault displayed must be repaired one at a time and each reset procedure will clear only the fault which is displayed prior to resetting the system.
Additionally it is recommended at the end of resetting the RDU unit to switch off and restore power to the ABS ECU, then check the ABS warning lamp operation and RDU tool to see if they indicate any remaining DTCs.

The EBCM may or may not display another fault message after the reset procedure is completed. Each fault displayed must be repaired one at a time and each reset procedure will clear only the fault which is displayed prior to resetting the system.
Additionally it is recommended at the end of resetting the RDU unit to switch off and restore power to the ABS ECU, then check the ABS warning lamp operation and RDU tool to see if they indicate any remaining DTCs. Operate the vehicle at a speed greater than 26 km/h (16 mph) in order to verify that the faults do not reset.
