Preliminary Procedures

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
3. Place a suitable support under the equalizing beam.
4. Remove the rear spring travel limiting link from the suspension assembly. Refer to Rear Spring Travel Limiting Link Replacement.

Rear Auxiliary Spring Nut (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Remove the auxiliary spring nuts from the suspension bracket.

Tighten
129 N·m (95 lb ft)

Rear Auxiliary Spring Bolt (Qty: 3)

Tip
Remove the bolts from the bracket.

Rear Auxiliary Spring Bracket

Tip
Remove the auxiliary spring bracket with the auxiliary spring.

Tip
Remove the auxiliary spring from the bracket.
