Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement LG4/LF8

Caution: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.



3. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the engine brackets. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.



4. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
5. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Caution in the Preface section.




1. Route the hose in the same position the hose occupied prior to removal.
2. Install the power steering gear inlet hose power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.



3. Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the engine brackets. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.



4. Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
5. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement LB7, L18 w/Hydromax

Caution: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
3. Remove the clips and isolators holding the power steering gear inlet hose to the frame.



4. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
5. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Caution in the Preface section.




1. Route the hose in the same position the hose occupied prior to removal.
2. Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
3. Install the clips and isolators holding the power steering gear inlet hose to the frame.



4. Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering pump outlet. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
5. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

1. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.



3. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
4. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the vehicle.

1. Route the hose in the same position the hose occupied prior to removal.
2. Install the power steering gear inlet hose power steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.



3. Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement.
4. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
