Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement.
  2. Fold the seat back forward.
  3. Partially remove seat back cover to gain access to the hinge bolts. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement.

  4. Object Number: 804696  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the seat back release cables from the hinge (2).
  6. Remove the bolts that retain the seat back hinge to the seat cushion frame.
  7. Remove the bolts that retain the seat back hinges to the seat back frame.
  8. Remove the seat back hinges from the seat back frame.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat back hinges to the seat back frame.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolts that retain the seat back hinge to the seat back frame.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Install the bolts that retain the seat back hinge to the seat cushion frame (3).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  7. Connect the seat back release cables (2).
  8. Connect the hook and loop fastener at the rear corner of the seat cushion cover.
  9. Install the carpet covering the center of the seat cushion frame along the rear edge of the seat, near the inner hinge.
  10. Install the rear bench seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement.
