Steering Column Jacket - Assemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift

1. Install the thrust washer (3).
2. Install the upper bearing spring (2).
3. Lubricate the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1) with synthetic grease.

Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1).




4. Install the shaft lock shield assembly.



5. Install the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR .
6. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle .

Tools Required

J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

1. Install the thrust washer (3).
2. Install the upper bearing spring (2).
3. Lubricate the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1) with synthetic grease.

Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1).




4. Install the shaft lock shield assembly.



5. Install the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR .
6. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
