Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 245326 Size: SH
  1. Remove the power steering pump (1) from the vehicle. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering System.
  2. Remove the retaining clip from the actuator.
  3. Remove the power steering actuator and fitting (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 245326 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the power steering fitting and actuator (2) to the pump (1).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the PS solenoid actuator to 62 N·m (46 lb ft).

  2. Install the retaining clip to the actuator.
  3. Install the power steering pump (1) to the vehicle. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering System.
