- Disconnect connector C266 at the steering column.
- Connect a DMM, set on ohms, between connector C266, pins A13
for CKT 41 (BRN) pigtail wire and A15 for the CKT 87 (GRY/BLK)
pigtail wire.
- Place the cruise control switch to the R/A position.
- Observe the DMM.
Is there continuity?

- Disconnect connector C1 at the powertrain control module
(PCM).
- Connect a DMM, set on ohms, between the PCM connector C1
pin D10 and connector C266 pin A15 for CKT 87
(GRY/BLK).
Is there continuity?

- Inspect for an open in the CKT 87 (GRY/BLK) pigtail wire
in the steering column Repair as necessary. Refer to
Wiring Repairs
in Wiring Systems.
- If no opens were found, replace the cruise control switch. Refer
to
Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle
in Steering Wheel and Column
- Tilt or
Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle
in Steering Wheel
and Column - Standard.
