1. Turn ignition to the run position.
2. Toggle between compass and temperature setting on mirror.
3. Check compass/temperature display.

Mirror display alternates between compass and temperature readings.

1. Position vehicle outside away from buildings, antenna towers, etc...
2. Exit vehicle and with a known good compass, take a reading in which the vehicle is headed.
3. Toggle the mirror display to the compass position.
4. Note compass reading in mirror display.

Mirror display shows same heading as known good compass.

Mirror Compass Display Inoperative or Inaccurate

1. Exit vehicle and with a known good thermometer, take an outside temperature reading.
2. Toggle the mirror display to the temperature position.
3. Note temperature reading in mirror display.

Mirror display shows same reading as known good thermometer.

Mirrors - Temperature Inoperative or Inaccurate

1. Place transmission in park.
2. Turn ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Cover ambient light sensor (windsheild side) with a dark cloth.
4. Shine a light at headlamp sensor (mirror side).

All mirrors gradually darken.

Place gear selector in reverse.

All mirrors gradually lighten to clear state.

Remove the light and the cloth.

All mirrors gradually lighten to clear state.
