Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 265004  Size: SH
  1. Remove the tow hooks (2).
  2. Discard the old tow hook bolts (3).
  3. Tape the bumper at the pre drilled bolt holes to prevent damage to the painted surface.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the vertical brackets (2) at the bumper (3) and the tow hooks (1) at the frame. (Leave Loose)

  2. Object Number: 497192  Size: SH

    Important: Shimming may be needed at the lower vertical bracket to achieve proper horizontal height with the hood.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the new tow hook studs supplied in the kit.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the new tow hook studs to 60 N·m 44 lb ft.

  5. Install the center support tubes.
  6. Align the center support tubes to contour the vertical brackets.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the center support tubes to 9 N·m 12 lb ft.

  8. Remove the protective tape from the bumper.
  9. Install the L-shaped brackets to the bumper using the existing pre-drilled holes in the bumper.
  10. Align the clearance as necessary between the bumper and the brush guard, Distance should be equal from the bumper to the brush guard.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the L-bracket nuts and bolts to 31 N·m 23 lb ft.

  12. Install the side guards to the brush guards.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the side guard nuts and bolts to 40 N·m 30 lb ft.

  14. The brush guard should be level horizontally when installed and should not touch any part of the front end except the bumper. If needed, shim the lower bracket to achieve proper hood height.
