Power Door Locks Switch Unlock Function Inoperative - One Luxury

Connect a test lamp from CKT 640 (ORN) at the suspect door lock switch, to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Repair the open in CKT 640 (ORN) between the CIG LTR fuse #13 and the suspect switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

  1. Back Probe a test lamp from CKT 19 (WHT) at the connector of the suspect switch, to ground.
  2. Move the suspect switch to the UNLOCK position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Replace the suspect switch. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Connect a test lamp between cavity C of the Door Lock Relay connector and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 540 (ORN) between the PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker and the Door Lock Relay. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Back Probe a test lamp between Cavity E of the Door Lock Relay and B+

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a test lamp between Cavity D of the Door Lock Relay connector and B+.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the Door Lock Relay.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the Door Lock Relay and ground G202. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a test lamp between cavity A of the Door Lock Relay and ground.
  2. Move any of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Back Probe a test lamp between Cavity B of the Door Lock Relay connector and ground.
  2. Move any of the door lock switches to the LOCK position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the connector at the suspect door lock motor.
  2. Connect a test lamp between CKT 294 (TAN) of the suspected door lock motor and ground.
  3. Move any of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair open in CKT 294 (TAN) between the Door Lock Relay and the suspected motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Connect a test lamp between Cavity A of the suspect motor connector and B+.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair open in CKT 295 (GRY) between the Door Lock Relay and suspect motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Back Probe a test lamp from cavity G9 of connector C305 to ground
  2. Move any of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair open in CKT 781 (ORN/BLK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. With a DMM (continuity), Back Probe cavity E6 of connector C305 to ground.
  2. Move any of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position

Is continuity present?

  1. Rotate the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Back Probe a DMM (volts) from cavity C of the Door Lock Inversion Module.
  3. Move the power door lock to the UNLOCK position.

Is battery voltage present?

Connect a DMM (continuity) between door lock inversion module Cavity B and ground, then Cavity D and ground.

Is continuity present in both circuits?

Replace the Door Lock Inversion Module.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 194 (WHT) between the Door Lock Inversion Module and splice S257. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Locate and repair the open between the Door Lock Inversion Module and ground G202 in the circuit that did not have continuity. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect Connector C3 from the Body Control Module (BCM).
  2. Connect a DMM (continuity) between cavity D of the BCM connector and cavity E6 of connector C305.

Is continuity present?
