Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Avalanche

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 800541  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the brace bolt. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Bumper .
  3. Remove the retainers (2) from the fascia (1).
  4. Remove the daytime running and fog lamps. Refer to Daytime Running and Fog Lamp Assembly Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  5. Object Number: 741570  Size: SH
  6. Release the front fascia locking fittings from the radiator grille support.
  7. Pull the front fascia in order to release the front fascia from the front fender outer panel clips (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the daytime running and fog lamps. Refer to Daytime Running and Fog Lamp Assembly Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  2. Object Number: 741570  Size: SH
  3. Align the front fascia clips (1) to the front fender outer panel clip retainers.
  4. Push the fascia firmly in order to secure the fascia to the radiator grille support and front fender outer panel.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the retainers (2) to the fascia (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the retainers to 1.6 N·m (14.0 lb in)

  8. Install the bolt to the front fascia brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Bumper .
