This bulletin is being revised to update the model information. Please
discard Corporate Bulletin Number 01-08-44-008 (Section 08 --
Body and Accessories).
This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that effective with
vehicle production in May 1, 2001 (C/K models and Avalanche) and August 1,
2001 (M/L models) and start-of-production (Escalade EXT), the above listed
vehicles are being shipped with a new fluorescent orange plastic antenna wrench
as part of the antenna.
During pre-delivery inspection, the dealers are to hand tighten the
antenna plus an additional 1/4 turn using the supplied wrench. The wrench
then can be removed from the antenna and placed in the vehicle's glove box.
The replacement antenna mast currently available from GMSPO is also
supplied with this wrench.
