Perform the Diagnostic System Check for DTCs prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
Review the systems description and operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Tire Pressure Monitor Description and Operation .

⇒ | If damage or such conditions are found, repair as required. |
⇒ | If Tire Pressure parameters are not correct, use scan tool special functions to adjust setting. |
⇒ | If actual pressure sensor locations do not match scan tool readings, refer to Tire Pressure Sensor Learn . |
⇒ | If the TPM System Enabled parameter is NO, use scan tool special functions to adjust setting. |

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
The lack of communication may be caused by a partial or a total malfunction of the circuit containing the serial data. The specified procedure will determine the particular condition.
The presence of DTCs which begin with "U" indicate some other control module is not communicating. The specified procedure will collect all the available information before tests are performed.
Tests for the presents of any passenger door module (PDM) DTCs. The PDM receives transmissions from the tire pressure sensors and controls the tire pressure monitor (TPM) system.
Tests if the malfunction is within the TPM system.
