Preliminary Procedure

Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

Front Side Door Hinge Upper Bolt (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip
Replace only one hinge at a time.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Front Side Door Hinge Upper Bolt (Qty: 3)

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Front Side Door Upper Hinge

Tip
Check the door for proper alignment, then adjust as necessary.

Front Side Door Hinge Lower Bolt

Tip
After installation of the replacement upper hinge, from the underside of the hinge, remove the temporary keeper pivot bolt and replace with longer permanent bolt.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)
